Folks dont forget this company still owns Rheologics. Rheologics is ANOTHER very real company in my area.

Rheologics was founded in 1997 by Kenneth R. Kensey, MD, a world-renown cardiologist, author and biotechnology innovator. More than 15 years ago, together with Young I. Cho, Ph.D., an internationally recognized expert in fluid mechanics and professor at Drexel University in Philadelphia, Dr. Kensey began researching the relationship between blood viscosity and the development of vascular disease. They quickly realized that in order to progress, they needed to be able to measure blood viscosity under varying physiologic conditions, and that such a measurement could not be made with the existing technology of that decade. The two researchers predicted that a simple, accurate and clinically practical device for quantifying how thick or thin the blood is would pave the way for major advances in cardiovascular research.

Today, Dr. Kensey is Chief Scientific Officer and Director of Rheologics, Inc., and Dr. Young Cho continues to serve as Chief Bioengineering Advisor to the Company. Headquartered in Exton, Pennsylvania, Rheologics has established a number of key partnerships with leading research and medical institutions in the U.S., Europe and Asia, including Northwestern University, University of Chicago, University of California at Davis Medical School, and Kansas University Medical Center.
