As I have said many times before, the market does not need a catalyst, when it is there fine (like 9/11 was a catalyst for the low 10 days later, or within a week after the market opened, but the turnips had 9/16 as a potential low long before that), when not, like July and October 2002, the internals dictate the bottom.
