I hate doing plumbing work too Larry,

but not as much as I hate paying a plumber to do it.

What I hate the most is when they get to the job, they have to leave for two hours to go and get the supplies.

Of course you have to pay for that time too.

I had an electrician once here to install an exhaust fan in a bathroom. I could have done it, but I had other things to do.

Anyway, he looked at the job, went to pick up supplies, was gone at least two hours.

When he got back he was telling me about a discussion he got into with another customer at the store, and advising them how to solve their problem.

I asked him if was I paying for the advice he gave to the person.

He looked at me with a deer in the headlights look and went to work.

I haven't invited him back.
