while I don't disagree that things are rocking out there, the only places that seem to be hiring in Alberta are Oil companies in Fort Mac. BC also has quite a few jobs but about 70% of the engineering ones are programming ones for Web 2.0 style apps. Oil has cut down dramatically on the number of jobs. Back in september Alberta oil companies had hundreds of open positions, and at least half got axed. Hmmmm but yeah things are great out west compared to Ontario. Ontario is death right now lol.
