doog, to answer your questions, i would say there's no way we can distinguish which 4000M LARS is pictured in deep down's yard, so i cannot speculate if it's the one that went to the swordfish or not. also if you read the PR about the 4000M LARS it says a second unit will be sold to PSS for VE, but it doesn't say that unit is for use on the swordfish:

"The second LARS will also be sold to Veolia with a Perry ROV."

the pr goes on to state:

"It is exciting to know that the new Flagship for Veolia, the Swordfish, is set up for ultra deepwater environments and will have two Perry ROVs and two Deep Down LARS to help them accomplish their more challenging deepwater tasks..." said Ron Smith, Deep Down's CEO.

they already have a 3K and 4K meter LARS, for a total of two on board the swordfish. that would suggest the second 4000M LARS mentioned in the PR is going to be installed on a totally different vessel for VE. jmho.

maybe someone can find out how many ships like the swordfish are currently, or soon will be, in VE's growing fleet. such a figure might give us insights into future orders for the 4000M LARS.
