smartbiz: Neom said that PaperClick will be officially launched at CeBIT. I don't know exactly what this means, but probably it has nothing to do with naming a service provider. Rather i think Neom will announce that PaperClick will come preloaded in Nokia phones.
Another good news we had yesterday imo. Post 1301 from mudrez. Gavitec's CEO Mr. Schraven wrote:
"NeoMedia, AirClick, etc., have focused on services, data banks, business models, etc.: in other words, on what comes after code-reading."
Neomedia's business - as we know all - is much bigger than a small software like PaperClick. The whole service behind code-reading is much bigger. What do we need a service provider for? What we need now is BSD and Triton to start the services imo.
Gavitec's Lavasphere (barcode decoder like PaperClick) is running on Series 60 and Nokia 7650. We know Scanzoom is running on other devices.
The tech spreads out. And i think Neomedia likes it.
I will be at CeBIT at Monday and will ask Chas what he means with "official launch".
