Tbilisi to lift blockade of Ajaria - Saakashvili (Part 3)

BATUMI. March 18 (Interfax) - Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili said Tbilisi is going to lift the blockade of Ajaria.

"Tbilisi is lifting the blockade from Ajaria at midnight on Friday," Saakashvili said after meeting with Ajaria's leader Aslan Abashidze in Batumi. Their meeting lasted for over three and a half hours.

"There was total mutual understanding and we managed to settle most issues," he said.

"There is no conflict between Ajaria and Georgia," Saakashvili said.

Ajaria will hold free presidential elections, he added.
