novn, at least the novn I know, makes estrogen patches and at one time or another progesterone estrogen patches.

wyeth's estrogen used to be the biggest selling drug in the entire world in 1992.
It isnt anymore and the whole estrogen market has tanked/

I do not know what part of novn is estrogen versus other markets in product mix. I did not think their neuroscince drug was selling well, but that was 2 qtrs ago

I just thought the obv , a/d and money flow was too high last week, and i am worrried about estrogen patch sales.

they will claim that transdermal is better, ie no liver, but no one has ever proven that although it makes sense in terms of HDL/LDL/?stroke. but it should not affect cancer effects and the stroke effects may be all thrombogenic anyway, ie platelets, which would be liver independent.

if you know what their product mix is you will be better able to judge. assume a 30% nick in any estrogen related sales.

the bone loss was the one thing that made people absolutly take estrogen the risk of hip or spine fracture and the resultant morbidity far outweighed any cv or cancer risk of estrogen
