I have to hand it to you Balance...

The time-lines for that scenario don't seem to be coincidence. If some JV announcement occurs during the conference it will be delivered first hand to basically the entire oil world with African properties or desires for same.

What better way to draw attention/investment to the GoG than to drop a blockbuster JV bomb on the industry at this conference. If some big names were involved it would bring much needed validation to the shareholders of the smaller participants.

And it would leave 2 months to get proxies to investors prior to April's shareholders meeting.

It would be an interesting exercise to find out the shareholder meeting schedule(s) of Afren and the others "suspects" involved in this scenario. If they are also meeting in April it would speak volumes.
