non-linearity


There is a several releases & abstracts from Genvec at ARVO and one confirms the still mysterious non-linearity. It says (from Demetriades et al): "Repeated periocular injections of AdPEDF do not sustain increased levels of PEDF in retina or choroid". Other abstract suggest Genvec is looking for repeated administration and other administration routes. The explaination might come from the big size of PEDF (50kDa) released by adPEDF that limits its penetration to the retina (protected by RPE cells and other mechanisms).

I will continue to investigate wheter I am quite busy at this time and report to you.
