FG, Regarding these naked short positions, I remember another poster talking of calling your broker to have your shares sent to you. As I recall, it was stated that would prohibit the broker from allowing those shares to be shorted (because they were not available in the brokers account to be borrowed from). Relatively I do not own a lot of shares. I do have contact though, with others who, in aggregate, own somewhere between 0.5% and 1% of the float. All these shares are held by different brokers.

First, is the information in the original post accurate? Will calling to have my shares sent to me limit the shorting potential? Does it make a difference we are dealing with the BB market?

Second, does it matter which broker is holding the shares? Are some brokers more prone to allow this activity, and, if so, can you publically post which brokers those are?

Third, is what I am asking here, which to me is seeking information about a manipulative mess created by MM's, in any way considered stock manipulation or illegal.

Would appreciate whatever information you can post publically about this.
