"you like to call it mocking but really all i'm doing is reporting what some christians truly believe
dinosaurs rode on noah's ark,
son of sam serial killer is bound for glory because he got "saved",
but mother theresa and ghandi will burn in hell"
Yes, you are mocking. You know it and I know it. As for the current targets for your mocking, I personally think it is possible, even highly probable that most (perhaps all) of the dinosaurs had died out before the flood, but that is conjecture and Scripture does not speak to it. You also assume (against all reason) that Noah would have taken into the Ark adult specimens rather than juveniles.
As for "son of sam", mother theresa, and Gandhi, I can only repeat what I have said here numerous times in the past -- only God knows if any of them were saved. What I can tell you with certainty, based on the clear testimony of Scripture, is that if any of them were saved, it was solely based on whether or not they accepted Jesus as their Lord and Savior. When it comes to salvation, nothing else matters. No one is "evil" enough that they cannot be saved by the sacrifice of Christ to pay the penalty of their sins, and no one is "good" enough that they do not need a Savior. God does not grade on a curve, and we all are sinners.
"now i do not believe as some others do that religion serves no purpose... everyone needs a purpose or something to believe in so for some the "Church" fills a void in their life... and the "Church" provides many social services"
While the church does "fill a void" in the hearts and lives of many, the primary functions and duties of the local church are fourfold: it is to worship and give thanks to God, teach the Bible and sound doctrine to the saved, preach the gospel of Jesus to the lost, and minister to the needs of others, those within the fellowship first, then to those outside of the fellowship. All of this is to be done in an atmosphere of love and fellowship, supporting and helping our brothers and sisters in Christ. All too often local churches fall short of these goals, but we all should do all we can for our church to meet all of the criteria enumerated above, mirroring Christ to the world.
"i see many church groups who volunteer their time and services to help those in need... while so much of our culture and our youth seem to be spoiled and fixated on selfish endeavors it was very refreshing to see many youth church groups spending their summers helping storm victims"
I agree, and it gladdens my heart also to see our church members open their hearts and their pocketbooks to help others who are victims of such tragedies. So many youth from so many churches showed true love for their neighbors, and both money and supplies flowed forth from churches all over the country to help those in need and to rebuild not only homes, but also churches that were destroyed. Praise the Lord.
"but what really pets my peeve is the so-called christians who think they have a patent on god, and especially the politicians who play the god card... these people mock themselves"
Here I will agree with you. God is Who He is, and no one has "a patent" on Him. All that is knowable about Him is to be found in Scripture and it is to Scripture alone that we should look to gain knowledge of Him.
To parade one's religion, be it Christian or otherwise in order to gain votes is to debase what one professes. I am not ashamed of my Christianity in the least and try not to miss many opportunities to glorify Christ and His Gospel, but the focus should always remain on Him and His teachings, not me. Christianity should not be hidden by any means, but it should not be used to gain votes, to gain business, or in any other situation be used as leverage for personal gain. State what you believe, do what is right in the sight of God, then let God do with that what He wills to do and be responsible for the outcome.
Scripture teaches that God raises up leaders and takes them down, just as He raises up nations and takes them down. Would that our leaders would remember that.
