1. We get paid for sending the emails. Whether you read or click on the ads in them has no direct impact on how much we get paid for that mailing, but if the clickthrough rate (CTR) remains high (so far, so good), it's easier to get more and better advertisers on-board at higher cost per thousand (CPM).

2. Nobody ever gets posession of the email addresses. London is provided with the email contents and sends them themselves. We have a very firm policy that our member email addresses stay in-house.
