LFB biochemists have the experience of playing with plasma proteins in a plasma environment, and a little bit of playing with rabbit milk too. I think something could come out of it on the purification side of it. Just like when it was found red cells needed 2,3-BPG to have a bohr shift... I bet there's something to be gained by understanding the plasma environment of these proteins, and that could allow modulating their activity by understanding their cofactors.
