He has served as Vice President, Plans & Programs for an Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) company and successfully managed all their Government & Industry Contracts.
Sandy had a long and distinguished career in the U.S. Air Force (USAF) and retired as a Colonel. His experience includes being a member of the Joint Intelligence Task Force – Combating Terrorism (JITF-CT) at the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) as part of the U.S. Air Force Intelligence Analysis Agency (AFIAA); serving as Chief, Systems Engineering & Integration for the U.S. National Security Space Architect"s Integrated ISR Team; was a Project Manager on the Space-Based Laser (SBL) Program. He has been the Director of Arms Control Studies at the U.S. Army War College. Selected by the Secretary of the USAF to be the first Blue Suit USAF Space Shuttle Flight Controller working at NASA/Johnson Space Center's Mission Control Center. Mr. Mangold earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Education (Mathematics) from the University of Florida, Masters of Science in Systems Management from the Air Force Institute of Technology/School of Engineering, and a Masters of Arts in National Security Studies at the U.S. Naval Warfare College/College of Naval Warfare. Currently, he is also an Adjunct Professor for the University of Maryland and Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.
