yep, "the donna reed show" who cooked breakfast after putting on a dress, jewlery and makeup..and there was the male head of household and deceased wife sitcom "my three sons" that typified the success a man could achieve without a woman... and the merged family "the brady bunch" that showed how kids should be the main focus when you decide tho have them...and then there was the widow "alice" who was going to make it on her own on coffee shop waitress wages with an occasional singing gig to show that life can be fulfilling... i ve got nothing against the wholesomeness those shows portrayed...i kind of miss it...because as those shows and that venue of show progressed, they added charachters that were just as honorable and likeable but outside of the norms that so many people feel theyre supposed to live up to...most people are odd or peculiar in some way... thats what the fundies dont want people to ever explore, thier odd side..
