9:21AM AFCI possibly misses milestone in Verizon contract -- UBS 23.08: UBS says its research suggests that Advanced Fibre Comms missed a milestone in the Verizon FTTP rollout. Specifically, based on the firm's discussions with industry sources, the firm believes the co failed to deliver FTTP equipment suitable for lab evaluation several weeks ago. Some may conclude that this delay has led to a re-bidding of the Verizon FTTP contract. However, the firm does not believe this has happened. On the other hand, if software issues are discovered that take several months to fix, then there is a risk Verizon may look to bring other vendor(s) back into the FTTP rollout plan.

if true, the beneficiary would probably be avnx. And a slower fttp roll out does no good for our stuff or tech in general.
I'll reiterate my comments since the sept 01 lows: without a resurrection of networking spending, tech rallies are bear market rallies. The pc market isn't going to be on fire again. We have to see a real, sustained uptick in equip spending and we are but poor performance in a key area ain't ok.
