The company has nothing to do with the MM bid/ask.

If people want to buy and sell shares of a total nonexistant compant the MM will oblige and take your money.

I will not waste my time to offer examples but thats what moves money.

Right now if sales pick up the mm will increase the sh price and the trades will rush in and its off to the races.

That simple.
