YB, Re: From consumer point of view, the 5.5 Ghz P4 will be replaced with 3.0 Ghz P5. Intel will have a very hard time explaining that Ghz is not speed, while Athlon 64 will be a very established and strong platform at the time, with a PR rating of 6000. How Intel will position a 3 Ghz cpu against A64 6000 I wonder.
Do you honestly think AMD will try to use model numbers at that point? They would laughed out of town.
