In dealing with reality...exactly. That is why this man has joined Eternal Image. Everything changes during the course of our lives. There is no getting away from that. Trends within the funeral industry are being changed as well.

I went to two funerals in the last 3 years. Neither were mourning the death of the deceased so to speak, the theme was that they (the family) was celebrating the life of the deceased.

Year Sales, Marketing and Operations Veteran Joins Eternal Image Team as the New National Director of Sales
David DeAvila is No Stranger to the Funeral Industry

Eternal Image, Inc. (OTC:ETIM.PK), a public company engaged in the design, manufacturing and marketing of licensed brand image funerary products such as caskets and urns, today announced the hiring of National Director of Sales, David DeAvila. DeAvila brings to the position, 25 years of experience in the sales, marketing and operations of branded products.

David DeAvila is joining forces with Eternal Image after 21 years as Director of International Operations for Herman Miller Inc., a leading global provider of office furniture based in Michigan and most recently after five years in the retail home furniture industry. In 2003, David created a branded line of heirloom products, specifically targeting the funeral industry, for Howard Miller Clock Company. As a result David was at the forefront of one of the fastest growing divisions within the company, thanks to the success he had with funeral homes.

“My plans for Eternal Image include nothing short of saturating every channel available to the company,” said DeAvila. “There are so many diverse avenues a business can take when it comes to marketing a product in the funeral industry. It is my intention to permeate every segment and distribution approach the industry has to offer.”

DeAvila also plans to focus his attention on expanding the domestic distributor base by using his previous experience and relationships as a resource. This will in turn, open up the market for Eternal Image to promote their products to an enhanced distributor base. David is also fluent in Spanish.

“We are flattered that someone with his knowledge and experience is eager to become a part of the Eternal Image team,” said Clint Mytych, CEO, Eternal Image. “There is no doubt that David’s enthusiasm and expertise will help the company thrive as well as generate greater exposure for the Eternal Image product lines.”

e of their loved one. It was pictures of the deceased on a poster board in happier times, memorable times framed around the funeral parlour. (There is also an opportunity here that needs to be addressed.)

The winds of change are coming in this industry. Etim is the pioneer here in my opinion
