chipguy, that's a good point(increased memory access), but on the other hand, K8 doesn't have the power drain of the NB, either. The best we can hope for in a comparison are two systems, preferably from the same OEM, with the same components and MBs that have the same feature set, and then look at total power used in all diferent situations.
