As you may be aware, the way in which Montana and Indian law meshes is a very complicated topic. Ultimately, the answer to your question needs to be resolved by your attorney or the Tribe’s attorney. However, in our office, we accept filings related to qualifying non-Montana companies who are transacting business in the state. If the companies do not file annual reports with our office, they are involuntarily revoked and must cease to transact business in Montana.
