This may be considered off topic...but when you guys type

LOL or ROTFLMAO is that the equivalent of a laugh track on a SITCOM...

Normally jokes are stand alone...sarchasm is easily inferred but I guess if you know your limitations on humor...it's necessary to put LOL don't forget the exclamation points though....
