The crux of today's trades was based on the fact that I am looing at a pattern near complete. When you first start a pattern, you'll always make a lot of mistakes because you have little to go on with structure development. However, by the end of a pattern, you can usually have it nailed and can significantly raise the level of success. This is where the bulk of profits come from for me.
That's an interesting insight. I find myself picking out patterns as they are developing very frequently. My problem is that I decide pretty quickly which one I think it will be and suddenly lose my ability to be objective about the pattern.
I'll have to work it in to my disciplinary studies <G> but I'm going to encourage myself to continue to do this but to re-evaluate the pattern every few ticks and make sure I am not playing one pattern when a different one is actually developing.
