Well, it's hard to disagree with the doctor about hypotheticals. Two small points to contribute to the discussion:

1) This is probably obvious, but the doctor's hypothetical scenarios won't result in significant revenue until there is solid evidence.

2) It is an assumption that the short term rhythm achieved by V will extend to 1 year and over. In other words, I would bet that the association between sinus rhythm and lower risk of death is correlated mostly with long term maintenance of sinus rhythm rather than its establishment for 1 minute. At this point, I think it is anybody's guess as to whether or not V is as efficacious in the long term as it is short term.
