Regarding the death case in the oral program: The cause of death was listed as ventricular fibrillation due to ischemic heart disease and acute myocardial infarction. This patient also had not received vernakalant for ~36 hours prior to death, making it unlikely there was enough drug present to have caused the ventricular fibrillation.
