Before the Bell- Xlinx falls after forecast

NEW YORK, March 3 (Reuters) - Shares of Xilinx Inc. (NasdaqNM:XLNX - News) fell 2 percent before Wednesday's opening bell, even after the programmable microchip maker said its fourth-quarter revenue would top Wall Street forecasts.
Shares of Xilinx fell to $41.70 on the Inet electronic brokerage, from its close of $42.58 on Nasdaq.

The San Jose, California company said it expects revenue for the current quarter to be up 9 percent to 10 percent from last quarter.
