Hi

Yes the RSI shown on the intra day chart is based on the last price, as if it was the closing price, so it will change trade by trade.

At the end of the day it is based on the close.

Now another thing to note if comparing RSI data and trends with other services, is that Stockcharts back adjusts their data for dividends etc. This effectively back adjusts the historical closing prices and thus slightly changes the RSI calculations.
