Your experience on the plane with the Italian businessman is one I've experinced firsthand, and heard from friends and acquaintances travelling in the UK and Europe, even Australia. Only Canadians are polite enough not to bring it up..lol. In Germany it's particularly bad, although the Brits are no great fans of Americans these days either. I hear they like us in Tuvalu, although they don't want to take US dollars anymore
I figure as things are getting to a new low point, suggests to me perhaps we may be due for a turnaround soon - I hope. It's embarassing to be considered lower than the Chinese and Saudi Arabia.
Me-thinks the US needs a new press agent...
