Intacs are approved only for <=3 diopters and they do not correct for astigmatism. This is one of the reasons the demand for the product has been de minimus.
The two approved ICL’s are reversible — i.e. they can be removed in almost all cases without any lasting effect. This is probably their main advantage vs LASIK.
