I think I can understand this from both perspectives.
Someone is getting 'free' shares because they did not risk any money. They paid $2 and recieved 1 share. Your going to risk that anyway. As for the warrant, they dont buy them until it is clear we are past the 2.40 mark. But technicaly they are not free because it will cost $2.40 for each one but you could look at it as free because it is instant guarenteed profit at that point.
But either way I dont know why anyone can complain about 'this point' since it was the deal and was stated as the deal before it was done.
So in my thinking, no they are not free but some could see it as 'free'.
