Would you care if I kicked the registration process up a notch?

I'm really wanting to incorporate some e-mail confirmation stuff into the registration process.

Javascript to validate e-mail will even work. Zero posts until e-mail confirm [sent out with link and random number to be clicked & matched with db]. Upon e-mail confirm, 3 posts/day. After fist post, works as normal, I approve account to 18/day.

Nothing too complex. Pretty please?
