Re: PP and Copper: "But there seem to be some studies to the contrary (or maybe those with a deeper understanding of the area can reconcile these results)"

Perhaps the answer lies in the distinction between free copper and bound copper. This is pure conjecture on my part but it fits into what PP is claiming, namely that free copper is the culprit while bound copper is not. We know this is the case with Wilson disease, and thus the reason why the trials of PP aimed at Wilson disease are apparently successful. Perhaps a similar effect is taking place with Alzheimers, whereby the ratio of Free copper to bound copper is the determinant factor as to how copper affects Alzheimers patients. I think this is the reason why PP has developped the Free copper tester and, from that perspective, it seems that this tester will be widely accepted to distinguish between harmful copper and possibly beneficial copper...

One thing is clear form the litterature that you cited: copper may be playing an important role in Alzheimers, although the mechanism of that role is still in question. Therefore, if nothing else, PP seems to have developped a tester for that purpose and they certainly seem to be heading for a successful treatment of Wilson disease. Those two factors alone, even if we were to totally discard the rest of their piepline, make PP a valuable investment IMO despite Dew's reservations...
