Yes it is a matter of eyesight. You started this whole discussion with the idea that Penryn and Silverthorne are the same design, to support your theory that Intel has a lot of process variability at 45nm and therefor needs to dump loads of low performance parts.

From that picture it's extremely obvious that they are *not* the same design. Intel didn't need to dump anything, they set out to create something brand new.

Now I can't exclude the possibility that ULV Penryns and Silverthornes will be sold under a similar brand name, but thats strictly a marketing issue and has nothing to do with the technical theory you were trying to 'prove'.
