The Engine Order Telegraph (EOT) is used in the Navy's Littoral Combat Ship. There are 2 different hull designs being built. The Navy plans on building 55 of these ships in total. The 2 Industry teams are - Lockheed Martin and - General Dynamics.

To equate this technology to the old devices; if you remember in the old movies with ships (like Titanic), the person on the bridge would move these large brass handles between indications like "Full Ahead" "Slow Ahead" "Dead Stop", etc. The ElectroWave USA EOT is its modern day equivalent.

The EOT was designed to be PLC based (a USN requirement), and operate a number of water jet engines. ElectroWave USA designed a system that could easily be marketed to other types of ships. The ElectroWave USA EOT is now listed in the US Navy Catalog as a standard orderable product."
