BofA reduces Feb. U.S. auto sales estimate (GM, F, DCX) By August Cole
SAN FRANCISCO (CBS.MW) -- Banc of America Securities expects fewer vehicles to be sold this February in the U.S. because the month began weakly as discounts and rising incentives aren't working as expected amid a slowly rebounding economy. Analyst Ron Tadross now forecasts a February sales pace of 16 million units on an annualized basis, down from his earlier 16.5 million unit target. He expects General Motors (GM) sales, excluding imports, to rise from last year while Ford (F) and Chrysler (DCX) are expected to decline.
