LEAGUE CITY, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--
ERF Wireless (OTCBB:ERFW), a leading provider of enterprise-class wireless and broadband products and services, announced today that its Enterprise Network Services (ENS) subsidiary has successfully completed a testing program conducted by Motorola in its Schaumburg, Illinois, labs to validate the patent-pending ERF Wireless CryptoVue(TM) Network Security Appliance for use with the MOTOwi4 wireless broadband solutions in applications requiring secure wireless communications. Under a Product Affiliation Agreement recently signed with Motorola, ERF Wireless will make its CryptoVue Network Security Appliance available to Motorola and Authorized Motorola Canopy Solutions Providers wanting to deploy secure wireless communications networks.
"The ERF Wireless CryptoVue Network Security Appliance allows system integrators to meet regulatory requirements when providing secure wireless communication networks to law enforcement, medical, financial, commercial and government markets," said Perry Vincent, CEO of Louisiana Radio Corporation, a long-time Authorized Motorola Canopy(R) Solutions Provider and Motorola MSS dealer. "This new encryption and routing device will change the landscape for providing cost-effective, secure communications across convergent wireless networks."
Brent Courrege, Chief Operations Officer for Jeff Davis Bank in Louisiana, said, "We deployed the ERF Wireless CryptoVue Network Security Appliance in our Motorola Canopy wireless network and we are very pleased with its speed, reliability and performance. The bank is subject to federal and state banking regulations, so we wanted our voice, video and data communications network to use the best encryption system available. We looked at the many conventional VPN devices used in the past and chose the ERF Wireless CryptoVue Network Security Appliance because it has better features, the fastest throughput, and triple controls. I highly recommend the ERF Wireless CryptoVue Network Security Appliance to my fellow bankers and to anyone wanting air-tight and auditable security in their communications network."
Arley Burns, President and CTO of ENS, commented, "With the testing and validation of the ERF Wireless CryptoVue (TM) Network Security Appliance by Motorola now completed, we are ready to establish CryptoVue as the number one preferred solution for securing convergent wireless networks. The securing of wireless networks has been a real problem in our industry, so we took it upon ourselves to develop a solution to properly protect Bank Secrecy Act and other secure data." Burns went on to explain, "With our past experience in developing encryption technologies for Internet banking, it was a task we knew how to get done. ERF Wireless now has several patents pending on the new technologies we developed that will protect our intellectual property well into the future. The many years of hard work by our crypto research and development team, lead by Edward Blevins (ENS' Senior Crypto Designer) and ENS consultant Sam Hartman (Chief Technologist of the MIT Kerberos Consortium (http://www.kerberos.org/people/index.html) and a voting member of the Internet Engineering Steering Group (http://www.ietf.org/IESGmems.html)), are coming to fruition."
Delivering network-ready applications across customer segments, the Motorola MOTOwi4(TM) Ready Application Ecosystem supports Motorola access technologies including mesh, point-to-point, Canopy(R) and eventually WiMAX solutions for private and public networks. The ecosystem leverages Motorola's 75 plus years of experience to create one of the industry's largest and most reliable offerings of wireless broadband applications for wireless networks.
