"What would make this 'research' so much easier to do, is to be able to click on a poster's name and see a list of the boards he/she has posted on with the posts to each of these boards, instead of clicking.....and clicking.....and clicking."

This has been requested many times. It is about the only feature that RB has that IHub doesn't. RB also has (or at least HAD) an additional option once you were viewing the list of boards (and total posts) that a person posted on - whereby you could click the "Last 30" for the person's posts for any board. It would bring up a list and then you could quickly scan the 30 posts (or previous 30, etc) and find something they said on a specific board pretty easily. Of course, IHub has a "Board Search" which helps the process and, of course, Advanced Search, which is great.

Still, it would be a nice feature!
