Yes and no. years ago I tried it with spy, qqq, etc and mdy made more money, though all did well enough to justify the effort.

That being said, mvp today uses many proprietary sp400 based indicators from decisionpoint.com.

I suspect a lot of rewrite would be needed to get the max out of other indexes.

You CAN time the market!

But only after you trash the big 3 myths.

Myth 1 - its possible to get every point of every move
...Myth 2 - you'll never have a drawdown
......Myth 3 - you'll never have a loss
