Apropos to Albuferon and Locteron… Globeimmune (see previous post) says it holds out hope that its HCV drug, GI-5005, could work even in patients who are intolerant to interferon.

To my knowledge, the only other reputable HCV companies who have made such a claim are COLY and ANDS, and both of those companies’ HCV drugs ended up failing. (I’m not counting PPHM’s Bavituximab, which I do not consider serious contender.) Regards, Dew
