VRTX: Are you stating that "viral response" is the same as "Rapid viral response"? I respectfully disagree. (I'm still a bit too weak to pull your leg; give me a week and I'll torque it for you)
The point I was making (independently from any VRTX discussion) is that 4-week VR tells a practitioner whether or not it is worth continuing treatment.
RVR tells people what?

Again,
1. If you have RVR, does that mean you will ultimately be cured? No.
2. If you don't have RVR, does that mean you will not ultimately be cured? No.
3. If you don't have meaningful VR at week 4, does it mean that you should continue treatment or no? (SOC or w/adjunct like Telaprevir). No. Unless your liver tissue would derive significant benefit from the interferon course separate from hoping for an outright cure. This is a known side-benefit for some advanced patients whether ultimately cured or not.

Again, I do not see the benefit of 4 week RVR data.
