I agree on several points. I like the management team for wisebuys anyways.
I like the fact that this actually now has revenue although I am quite a bit concerned that in both years they posted financials for Wisebuys that a good portion of the revenues came from investments, not from the stores!!!
Look through the financials..the stores by themselves are losing money. They are non-revenue producing. So my concern is that if 5 stores are losing money, is 9 stores going to be losing MORE money?
Plus quite honestly I now look at my current investments this way.
1) is it a good time to buy; meaning is it at the bottom, middle or top of its cycle??
2)Is this a stock I could buy and forget (none are in pennyland as far as I am concerned)
3)I try to time my buys and sells in relation to the market conditions for a particular stock. Buy low, sell higher
4) even with my larger holdings like Google, its cyclical. When I think its ran its course, I sell and wait for it to drop until the indicators are there to buy back-in.
5) Obviously with a larger company a lot of people buy and forget. I won't. Even with the funds I am in for my 401K I get in and out of them and this year I am earning 25.4% in mutual funds year to date.
So that is how I look at this. Now is not a good time to buy in my opinion. Not saying you or anyone else that is holding long is wrong. Just not for me.
