Stevia is fabulous. We've been using it for several years. It is a very sweet natural plant that comes from South America originally. No glycemic index, because the body doesn't recognize it as sugar. No side effects, and you don't have the tendency to want everything sweeter like with what happens with artificial sweetners. The clear liquid has no bitter after taste, but the dark liquid does a little. It is also available in powder form. You have to go to a vitamin store and get it as a 'Supplement'. The sugar industry here lobbied heavily against it in the early 1900's to keep it from being classified as a sweetner. Bastids. The rest of the world has been using it for decades, but not us. Big business hog ties us every friggin chance they get.
