Lee,

Let me guess what may happened based on my several years experience with IB. If sometime yesterday you placed an order to buy NQs, and later cancelled it, your cancellation probably was not executed, although TWS confirmed it. As a result, you have a pending (or already executed) order and there is no way to know about it because you can not see it on TWS. Such things happened several times to me. Last time it happened somewhat a month ago, and right now I am in the midst of filing complaints against IB because in my case it caused a significant loss (to make things worse, trying to enter an unreported trade, IB placed 8 (EIGHT) wrong option trades manually on my account, badly misbalancing it each time, violating margin and triggering automatic transaction to restore margin. The whole ordeal happened during option expiration week and lasted two days). It’s scary, because it happened more than once, and I moved two out of three accounts from IB, but I still use it for option trading because they are good for option trading (as long as everything works well), but they are not good at all, when things go wrong.
