I'm probably not explaining adequately. There are boards with no moderator. In fact, IHub has a place where people can apply to moderate some of these boards with no moderator at http://investorshub.advfn.com/boards/adoptaboard.asp .

There's a stock board for a stock which I don't think is a good buy but I've been posting on for about a year and a half since it is an interesting stock. I asked to be the moderator since there currently isn't one. I was told that I wouldn't be installed as moderator since I wasn't "interested" in the stock--undoubtedly meaning, "because I wasn't interested in the stock as a purchase."

I'm trying to figure out the rationale for that policy.
