Honeywell recently announced that it has granted Wintek rights for patented technology that increases the brightness and image quality on LCD products.
The agreement provides Wintek rights for Honeywell's LCD technology, protected by US patent titled "Directional Diffuser for a LCD" (5,280,371) in the design and manufacture of performance LCD products. The patented technology will increase brightness, image quality for display panel on mobile telephones, PDAs, MP3 players and other performance products
Honeywell previously entered into similar agreements with Sharp, Samsung Electronics, LG.Philips LCD, Sony, Toshiba, Toshiba Matsushita Display, Sanyo Electric, Sanyo Epson Imaging Devices, Chunghwa Picture Tubes, NEC LCD Technologies, Chi Mei Optoelectronics (CMO), AU Optronics (AUO), HannStar Display, Quanta Display, International Display Technology, Casio Computer, Philips, Arima Display, TPO Displays, Seiko Epson and Hitachi among others.
