Anyone tried syncing an iPhone to two computers?
I'm pretty close to pulling the trigger on an iPhone. I'd like to be able to sync my business contacts and calendar from Outlook on the company PC laptop and my photos and music from the iLamp at home.
There's a lot of conflicting info out there on this topic. The iPhone Discussion Board has a thread (http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=1032099) where people fall into three camps regarding multi-computer syncs: some for which it just works; some that can't get it to work; and others who couldn't make this happ until they used third-party websites to sync all info to one computer and then sync the iPhone from there.
I stopped by an AT&T store today, which was worse than worthless. At first they didn't think that iPhone could sync with PCs, then tried to tell me that iTunes on either a Mac or PC will only sync iTunes media. Mrs. QS was at an Apple store last night; they told her that iPhones "were meant to sync calendars and contacts from many computers and iTunes media from just one." But I'm not sure I'm ready to believe that because I haven't seen it mentioned elsewhere.
Anyone have real-world experience in this area?
