FONAR's European Distributor Sells a 3rd FONAR UPRIGHT Multi-Position MRI in Germany

MELVILLE, N.Y., Oct 24, 2007 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- FONAR Corporation (NASDAQ-FONR), The Inventor of MR Scanning(TM) announced today that a third FONAR UPRIGHT(R) Multi-Position(TM) MRI has been sold in Germany. The unit is expected to be installed early next year in a diagnostic outpatient facility in the city of Munich. This is the fourth FONAR UPRIGHT(R) Multi-Position(TM) MRI sold by Tecserena GmbH, FONAR's European distributor since 2006.

FONAR has now reported 161 UPRIGHT(R) MRI scanners sold, with eleven occurring during the quarter ending September 30, 2007. In a September 28, 2007 press release, Dr. Raymond Damadian, president and founder of FONAR said, "In addition, we are receiving UPRIGHT(R) Multi-Position(TM) MRI orders in the first quarter of Fiscal 2008 at one of the highest levels we have experienced since the product was introduced." It is notable that only three (3) quarterly totals have topped this number since FONAR began selling the UPRIGHT(R) MRI in October, 2000.

The first unit in Germany was installed in Cologne in February 2006. On June 13, 2007, Dr. Raymond Damadian, helped dedicate the UPRIGHT(R) MRI facility at Hanover by speaking to the gathered medical audience at the grand opening.
