That would imply that I have something to gain while you have something to lose. Remember that I am heavily invested in AMD at this point, and now they have to ride on the merits of Opteron as a performance vehicle, rather than the first exclusively 64-bit solution. Of course, I figured this would probably be the case in the first place (that 64-bit would be a "don't care" for Opteron, that is). I just didn't realize it would be because Intel got to "IA32E" shortly after AMD.
