Newly: Since I'm a daytrader and put on many trades, commissions are of utmost importance. At IB with commissions under $5 round turn, commissions are no longer a consideration. Other firms charge far more in commissions and preclude rapid trading and concomitant profits, [sometimes.] I started years ago at Datek and the round turn was about $20; this forced me to be a swing trader, which I prefer not to be. I like to be fully in cash by 4:00 or sooner.
